"Lady Doc" (Fly Mae Twister) and "Sedona" (Doc Lena Twister) started Jo's love affair with horses in September of 1992. "Lady Doc" was a special horse who was the Grand Dam of our farm until her death in 2004. She has a very special resting place under a huge oak tree overlooking the lake and pastures. Now "Sedona" has taken over as Grand Dam of the farm.
Galloping in the wind is the horse, my friend,
Leaping over brick walls, climbing trails to waterfalls,
It's coat shimmering in the sunshine, this creature is just so fine,
Foals come every now and then, sometimes you can even see them grin,
Galloping in the wind is the horses, my friend. Bryce Olivia Maier
When we first established Diamond Double D Farms in 1998, our goal was to have horses with cow on the inside and paint on the outside. "Cry Baby" was our Top Stallion. He was such a good natured stallion and always passed his disposition on to his foals. He was owned by Wayne and Lori Wolf was standing in Texas until his death. Cry Baby was truly one in a million and will be missed by all who knew him.
In 1998 we began standing The Young Man, affectionately called "Cry Baby" and Dakotas Dialmond, "Codie" both Black Overo Stallions. "Codie" is now in Arizona.
